Rick graduated from St. Joseph's Seminary in June of 1971.
The Sunn played gigs at various parties and High Schools.
The military draft for the Vietnam War was still going, and it was the beginning of the "Lottery"; the Selective Service picked birhday dates from a hat and that determined the chance of your getting drafted or not.
Both Cal and Joe had quite low numbers, and they were likely to be drafted, so they both enlisted.
That was the end of The Sunn. Rick checked out the bulletin board at Farrow's Music and called a couple numbers for "Guitarist Wanted".
This is how Rick ended up with Dave and Dan Bellanger and Bill Roelofs in the band "Blackwood".
